Two foam discs collect various sizes of unwanted organic debris encouraging the growth of large numbers of beneficial bacteria which break down harmful pollutants.

STAGE 2 - BIOLOGICAL FILTRATION:

At this stage the water passes through the bio-balls at the bottom of the filter. These have a large surface area & provide a habitat for beneficial bacteria to grow which naturally convert the harmful toxins of ammonia & nitrites into useful nitrates to support a healthy pond environment.

STAGE 3 - CLARIFICATION:

The water which may contain microscopic suspended algae spores passes the lamp clumping and killing the spores to give crystal clear water. WHY This External Pond Bio-Filter SO EFFECTIVE? Water is slowed down as it passes the lamp to increase clarifier penetration Quartz glass tube covering the lamp permits effective penetration of rays. Ordinary glass cuts this by 90% lamp runs at optimum operating temperature in an enclosed chamber Water is kept as close as possible to the lamp to maximize clarifier efficiency Single ended lamps last longer and have higher clarifier output Enhance Your Filtration Performance Do not use with pumps that exceed 1500 gallons per hour. This could damage the filter. Do not use pumps with flows less than 500 gal/hr. A minimum of 500 gallons per hour is necessary to perform the back flush operation. Note: All pressure filters restrict the flow from your pump. Expect about a 45% reduction in the water flow through the filter.

HIGH-EFFICIENCY PRESSURIZED FILTRATION: Operates as a sealed inline pressure filter, allowing clean water to be pumped uphill to feed elevated waterfalls, streams, or spillways.

BUILT-IN 13W UV WATER CLARIFIER: Features an integrated 13W UV-C light chamber to physically reduce floating green water algae blooms and organic haze, restoring crystal-clear water visibility.

MULTI-STAGE BIO-MECHANICAL MEDIA: Combines internal mechanical foam rings with biological filtration media to trap floating debris and provide surface area for essential microbial colonies.

Flexible Inlet and Outlet Connections: Inlet/Outlet Size: 1/2", 3/4", 1" with 1" hose recommended for optimal performance

EASY BACKWASH CLEANING LEVER: Features a top-mounted valve selector that flushes out trapped dirt and sludge through a dedicated waste outlet without opening the canister head.

Three-Stage Filtration Process: Mechanical filtration with foam discs, biological filtration with bio-balls, and clarification with UV lamp for comprehensive water treatment

SUITABLE FOR PONDS UP TO 1,000 GALLONS: Handles steady water flow rates, making it an ideal choice for small to medium outdoor koi ponds, water gardens, and goldfish features.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0723/0213/3435/files/31nsiSPd8nL_677f970b-eec3-4ede-9ae2-3cc267be9dd7.jpg?v=1790902627
